I suppose I should include a short introduction before anything though. My name is Brandi! I am not obsessed with barbies or think that I resemble them or whatever, it just so happens to be my awesome last name! I am married to the most amazing guy there is. I was so lucky to snatch this one up before anyone else got a hold of him thats for sure! I met him in my first semester (2006) at the best college ever, TEXAS TECH! We just instantly clicked and were always together from the moment we met. He became my best friend and the person I wanted to do everything with and eventually share my life with. We traveled a long road of ups and downs in our relationship, like every young couple, and I wouldn't change a moment of that journey I've spent with him. We finally got married April 21, 2012 and from there things just keep getting better and better! We then moved out to Dallas, TX to start our "after-college" lives together. Shortly after we moved to Dallas, we were fortunately blessed with an adorable baby girl whom we named Bailey Claire. My life has never felt more complete!
So, anyway, on to my post! Today was my daughters FIRST birthday! We are having her party this weekend after Thanksgiving, that way everyone important will be off work and able to come in town to celebrate with us. I'm very excited to post everything from the party so do come back and check that out! This morning when Bailey woke up, my husband and I turned on the Beyonce song "Party" and filled up her crib with balloons.. she had no idea why we were dancing around and throwing balloons at her, but she got into the spirit after a few minutes (and fully waking up). She had a lot of fun with the balloons, then I had fun tripping over them the rest of the day! Ha!
I'm sure it will take me awhile to get the hang of this blogging thing, but I hope to entertain and share my creativity along the way. As you can probably gather this will largely be about my daughter, my husband, and our day to day family life. I love creating things so expect crafty posts along the way. I will also be sharing recipes that have come to be a must have in our home and will most likely include everything from healthy dinners to yummy desserts and even some great cocktails (from my college bartending days)! With that being sad.. here are some pictures from my daughters birthday photo shoot. I would have loved to go outside and take pictures, but this Texas weather makes it hard to predict the forecast in these late winter months and I'd rather not risk her getting a cold!
